Installing Loom

This guide provides detailed steps to install Loom according to your setup.

1️⃣ Global Installation

Install Loom CLI globally:

composer global require loomkit/installer

Create a new project:

loom new my-loom-app
cd my-loom-app
bun install

Notes:

• bun install installs frontend dependencies (Tailwind, Alpine, Livewire).
• Use this method if you want a CLI shortcut for creating projects.

2️⃣ New Project

Start a completely new Laravel application:

composer create-project loomkit/starter my-loom-app
cd my-loom-app
bun install

Notes:

• Creates a clean Laravel + Loom Starter Kit.
• Frontend setup with Bun (Tailwind, Alpine, Livewire).

3️⃣ Existing Project

Add Loom to an existing Laravel project:

composer require loomkit/core -W
php artisan loom:install

Notes:

• loom:install publishes Core assets and optionally installs default modules.
• Verify .env settings and run migrations as needed.
